A dress I love and a stack of magazines.

These pictures were snapped in my old apartment on my last night there. All that was left was a huge stack of my fashion magazines. Sadly, I couldn't bring them along to our new place. Ended up selling them to a old paper mart. :( Lately, my magazine buying has become significantly less than what it used to be. Not like I don't like my glossies anymore, I sure do, but sometimes things in mags just don't make sense to me. Half the time, the same stuff is in every mag. And not to mention the out of reach and out of budget things that throngs the pages. Plus, I'd rather buy books.

This was my birthday dress last year..yes I keep up the childhood tradition of buying a birthday dress every year. I love the print of this dress and the way it feels against my skin. There is something so folksy about it. This year, even though I bought a dress, I chose to wear a skirt on my birthday for some fun and frolic.

My much loved crackle nail polish. So much fun. I am wearing the bright neon shade from China Glaze and the crackle polish from Color Bar.

Hair-cut Outfit.

Wore this for a spot of mall crawl and getting an unplanned hair cut. I hadn't had a proper cut in like a year and a half. I'd been trimming my bangs and lenght on my own at home but I just needed some professional help. So took off an inch or two from the back and had some magic done on my side-swept bangs.

A nice, new hair-cut is just what the doctor ordered. And just in time for my birthday. Start a new year with a new style. Yay!

Bows and Polka Dots.

Bows and polka dots are my most make me happy prints. I love them on clothes, bags and shoes even...I adore them. So when the thought of pairing these two elements floated into my mind, I went for it. Even if it meant wearing grey on grey, something I don't care for much. I am all about living in colour, the brighter the better!

I wore my layered look for a day of shopping. Something I don't intend on doing anytime soon again. I don't want to make it a big deal or anything but we, both Sal and I, haven't shopped for the last month. We've bought some jewelry but no clothes and no shoes. And this is how we intend to behave for the next few months. The merging of all our stuff has brought forth a horror of realizing how much stuff we have! And now it's time to love this existing stuff and not add to it. :)

The two beloved prints.

My go to shoes lately. Add sparkle to even the dullest of days.

This is how my outfits come about on most sensible days. Clothes neatly laid out, followed by my bling. Some days however, the jewelry is added as I am rushing through and getting ready.

The Anthro Lust List: Oh the Geometry!

Since we are still in the process of unpacking our considerable belongings and setting up our new place, we have been MIA from our happy home on the www!

In the midst of all the unpacking and setting up of cupboards and such, Holly and I take a break with some cold beverage- lemonade- and virtual window shopping! :)

Here are some of the things we have been lusting after on Anthropologie!

Subtle and geometrically fabulous! This Azimuth necklace is something I WANT! :)

Holly is a big fan of large gemstones! And this stacked Krausnick necklace is something she thinks is "totally worth saving for"! :)

It is spring and I have been carrying my giant yellow bag to work this week and so, I am drawn to anything in yellow.. Ergo, this Picard necklace caught my eye....

Springy, colourful and fun! What is not to love in these Stone Tassel Earrings?!

It is Espadrille weather! These swirly beauties are so cute!

How could we not have a bag that is our object d'lust?! :D This polka-dotted-paisley number screams spring!

And since we are setting up a new home, we're, anyway, drawn to rugs! :) Isn't this Huari Rug so pretty and colourful! I have half a mind to keep the walls totally white and splurge on this dude!

Hope all of you've been having a wonderful February! 2 months of 2012 are, almost, already up! :O How time flies, eh?!

Have a great week, y'all!

Plaid-tastic!

I love this ring of mine and have been or rather had been waiting for a longggg time to wear it. As pretty as it is, it's pretty damn inconvenient if you intend to use your hands :) But she's so pretty :)

My stack of bracelets have a special story, the studded on is from Zara which I got recently, the one in the middle was bought from an exhibition and the last one is the most special. It belonged to my nanima and is from some store in London from the late 1950s. I love wearing a truly vintage and special piece of jewelry and it reminds me of me darling dida and I can imagine all the things she did and saw when she wore this :)

I love plaid and I need to keep myself from adding to my growing collection of plaid things :) This super soft plaid shirt was an exception to my no-more-plaid rule. It was like I said, super soft and was terribly marked down at the Forever New sale. So I had to get it.

It's easy to wear plaid simply and being super casual. But I felt a little dressy and wanted to dress up my rather plain look. So I added my turquoise pendant and my stack of bracelets and of course my giant rings.

Outfit Details:

Shirt and ring- Forever New
Purple ring- Ayesha
Bracelets- Zara, exhibition find and vintage passed down from my nani
Watch- Aldo
Pendant- Exhibition find
Earring- Gifted

Happy Thursday all. The weekend is near :)
