Bengali women, once they are married, slip on these two bangles- Shaakha and Pola- as symbols of being a married woman. I over blinged-out on this look. But this fringe necklace is a newish purchase from the Sales time. So I was desperate to wear it and wear it soon. I might add some pieces of cloth and leather to add texture to the fringes. Similarly, this blouse was also a Sale buy and I wanted to wear it ASAP. So to make matters easy, I paired them together. I was introduced to Bandhej during my very first trip to Ahmedabad, all the way back in 2001. Wow! 10 years ago!
